Tamaulipas as Mexico's logistics platform, with new ANAM offices

Monday 23 October 2023

Tamaulipas will be consolidated as Mexico's logistics platform, as the new offices of the National Customs Agency of Mexico (ANAM) are under construction, in which around 2,500 million pesos will be invested, through a 60-hectare site, where all the country's international trade processes will be organized. The works are expected to be completed in the second half of 2024.

Currently, Tamaulipas occupies the first place in customs revenue throughout the country, due to the Nuevo Laredo headquarters, which at the beginning of 2023 reported around 12,8715 million pesos, which represented 614 million more than the beginning of 2022. According to ANAM's figures, this border customs office obtained 163,985 million pesos in collections last year. While, from January to July 2023, the accumulated collection amounts to more than 658,300 million pesos.
