There are several types of Cross docking:
Direct Crossdocking the pallets and /or boxes are recieved and transported to the exit docks without any change or manipulation to the shipment.
Indirect Crossdocking the pallets and or boxes are received and pulled apart to re-label for delivery.
Consolidated Crossing, the logistic units are received and immediately sent to a conditioning area within the (Distribution Center), in which they will be organized creating new marketing logistics units to be sent to their respective points of destination.
