WHICH PROFILES OF THE LOGISTICS SECTOR ARE THE MOST DIFFICULT TO COVER AT THIS TIME?

Eight out of ten companies acknowledge having difficulties when it comes to finding talent, a trend that has exploded in the last five years in sectors such as logistics, where carters, delivery men, drivers and administrative workers are in short supply.

The data collected in the latest Adecco study points to logistics and transport as one of the sectors most affected by the talent shortage. Within this environment, forklifts are the profiles that cost the most to cover, the category with the most deficit, especially due to the legal obligation to have technical training and require great experience and skill in handling lifting machinery.

The demand is high and constantly increasing, but it is very difficult to find trained and experienced personnel.

Ecommerce drives the need for staff

The strong presence of logistics platforms linked to e-commerce is notable. This boom in electronic commerce has changed the rules of consumption, and although there are campaigns that are fixed (sales, Black Friday, Christmas ...), logistics companies have to adjust their templates to continuous changes in production.

2020, with confinement and capacity and mobility restrictions, has been a year in which, in addition, e-commerce has maintained many industries and for those that until now did not operate online, it was time to do so.
