Mexico City.- During La Mañanera, Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced Horacio Duarte Olivares as the new General Administrator of Customs of the Tax Administration Service (SAT).
Horacio Duarte will take office after Ricardo Ahued's resignation, confirmed last week.
Horacio Duarte is a Mexican politician, a Morena militant, who was developing as undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Prevention.
He is an upright man, honest and with all our trust, he will take care of customs because we need to face corruption from there, ”said AMLO.
Ricardo Ahued's resignation
Last Friday Andrés Manuel confirmed the resignation of Ricardo Ahued as General Administrator of Customs of the Tax Administration Service (SAT).
During the morning conference that day, Andrés Manuel assured that Ricardo Ahued requested his resignation in order to return to the ranks of the Senate of the Republic.
In this sense, he will leave office from April 30 and return to the Senate of the Republic, after having been in charge of the unit since May 2019.
